UA Local 393 is on the forefront of assuring that its membership is provided with a sound pension plan, so they may enjoy the fruits of a well deserved retirement after a full career in the construction trade.
As a part of the fringe benefit package, every hour worked by a Local 393 member includes contributions made towards the member's Defined Benefit (DB) and Defined Contribution (DC) Plan. Members may also choose to add additional hourly tax deferred contributions to their DC pension.
All pension funding is invested into a balanced portfolio to maximize return, while minimizing risk.
On an annual basis, the membership and their spouses are invited to a Pension Investment Overview class, whereby the pension investment allocation, strategy and rates of return are presented and discussed. Also in attendance are the plan professionals (advisors) to field any, and all, questions in its regard.
